Books
You can put a book down
it won’t cry
You can put it on a shelf
it doesn’t feel lonely
You can share it with friends
it doesn’t feel abused
If you laugh at what’s inside
it won’t feel used
A book no matter how long closed
can always be reopened
Don’t judge them by their cover
some are better than a lover
