The deluge has been pouring down
for how long, I wonder?
It is not just a drizzle
that gets into your bones
and it's not raining 'cats and dogs'.
Pitter-patter raindrops
Pitter-patter raindrops
all around, on the ground
I don't think it needs it
I wish some spring sunshine
would come our way
