Poems
Jan 2020
eyes and tongues
everyone has a tongue like a serpent,
slipping and sliding over teeth
lying to you, and
lying to me.
but i won't let their flicks distract my eyes
because everyone has to hunt like a mongoose,
staying vigilant at all times.
