I am not beaten down by the waves and gales,
but rocked into a deep & gentle sleep.

I am not struck down by the thundering storms and swells,
but given vigorous new life.

The ocean is my haven,
I sway and roll with the tides
the reefs and surf my fortress.

I am home here, powerful and wild,
kept company by the sun and stars.
I wander the world,
as the warm summer breeze.

Yes --- here I am truly free.
As the sea has become my life,
and my life liberated by the sea.
