Like rosebush buds do unfurl,
Friend, your heart with love does too.
If your heart would have petals,
They'd be lovely ones to view.

Your heart unfurls like a rose,
And it's never touched by frost,
Bringing sunshine in my heart,
And doing it with no cost.

Your smiles are always welcome,
Your smiling has no curfew;
Friend, you have much TLC,
To your heart, mine is drawn to.

Gold roses have much beauty,
Your heart has a pure grade gold;
It's when your heart opens up,
Warmth emits but never cold.

Flowers bloom and fade away,
And pearls people like to steal;
Your smiles have greater value,
Them, my friend, never conceal.
