Dec 2019
I laughed so hard that I cried
Or maybe
I laughed
And I cried
Tears of joy
Because I hadn’t heard
My real laugh
In such a long time
So tears stream down my cheeks
And cling to my chin
As I try to catch my breath
Down on my knees
As you all surround me
Making playful fun
And the laughing doesn’t stop
And I choke on the air that’s not coming
I haven’t laughed in so long
That I think I’ve forgotten
How to do it without
Killing myself
From lack of air
I laughed so hard that I cried
