Enter the day
Slipping its chains of night
Reminding the birds to sing
The bats to sleep
Foxes and badgers to hide
The sun rises and sets the stage
Be hidden by cloud or high above
Telling the flowers to open
Asking the moon to wain
Even hidden behind dark skies
It rules the day and commands the night
Then in surrender slips away
Enter the night
