You're Just a Dog
I know that you're just a dog
But every time you whine,
My ears perk up.
In the most peculiar way.
I like to call it,
My
offical
Mom-spidey-sense.
It's how I know which whine
Means what.
It's how I know when,
Your teeth hurt
You want to play
You need water
You just want to snuggle.
I know you're just a dog.
But, God.
I wish you were human.
If you weren't just a dog.
Well then,
I wouldn't have
To watch you waste away.
