Flowers bloom
signaling the start of summer
Chirping birds flutter
as they call for their distant mother.
With skies so bright
we’d soon forget those winter nights
And the sun has never felt so lovely.
In the sheets my worries lay,
Only to be forgotten
in this lovely sunny day.
So here my mind will stay,
Until our next winter day.
Where the nights are long
and flowers are all gone,
I’ll yearn
for another summer’s day.
