Such a simple thing, such a scary thing
Employed by Chronos to exert his might
So we never forget what he will bring:
An endless tide of bygone daylight

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
One is barely out, the next its reign starts
You think that the next will stop the decay
Don’t think the dawn will bring ease to our hearts
At weekend we sing a supplication
To stop time's unstoppable damnation
But it’s like shouting into the wind
And the ties of time bind us still, constrained
Look at me, although you’re aghast, behold
Every day, week, month that’s faded away;
Filled with anguish and remorse, yet untold
Lingering hope that it’ll turn round someday
So many dusks, dawns deprived of a sight
Of your beloved; from such a dim plight,
You’re trying to flee, yet not a day went by
Without her running through your head
DON’T LIE

And while you are drowning in your sorrow
LOOK AT ME – see how much you’ve wasted
And will waste ‘cause your life is a furrow
Filled with gloom, not a shred of light tasted

And more is coming so be prepared
I do not care how much you are scared
