Jazz Combo
and like a still life
their faces are waxen
their bodies flat
pale lips blow
stiff fingers plink pluck
and beat the skins
it's as if their souls
have left us and the club
I've seen this print before
though not in a frame
but in mirrors shiny metal things
and reflections in the glass
