The sky was clear far above
no cloud to mar the face of God
still the moisture trickles down
hinting presence of a frown

from the corner the wet side
glistening in the morning light
the other orb stands resolute
denying emotion held inside

if disclosure is fully made
based on moisture from one eye
the truth is greater than a lie
presented on the dry side

yet still the sky has no shade
echoed on one half a face
resolute to hold the line
while hopes and dreams slowly die.
