with me
or in a
fantasy? I see
your body

next to mine,
but your thoughts
are out of line. Your
head isn’t connected

to the event. It’s floating
on a string attached
to someone else’s
hand. And if I cut it

you’ll be gone. Still, keeping
you while someone’s
holding the other end I
cannot apprehend. And I

won’t do it for long. You’re
more with her than with
me. And there’s no room
in this for three.
