Sliced and scorched
I didn’t have to come
You said
But I thought
ignoring was rude
You’ve told me many times
That I don’t have to lie
I don’t have to keep
every emotion inside
And yet when it seems perfect
I still want to cry
the twisting, the turning
Where I have to lie
I lied to you
It cut deep hitting the bone
It scorched away what remained
You trust was broken
By me
