I wish to extinguish
this self destructive
cigarette

I'm getting tired
of the stale
taste

The smoke that pours
from my pouted lips
is clouding my
vision

The residue is building
in my lungs
I feel it

It's crawling rather quickly
up towards my
heart

I know I should quit
but it's hard
when it's not nicotine that I'm
addicted to.
