May 2010
The fire of youth burns with fever bright
Traveling through life’s direction
Burning candles of incandescent light
Flickering in the wisdom of lessons

Trial and error often bent with pain
While exploring their world with pleasure
Seeking to find where they will remain
A place for their heart to treasure

In hurried expressions of such impatience
They quickly scurry about
Thinking that time is of the essence
Finding themselves on the wrong route

Like fools they rush in to capture a feeling
To hold to that which doesn’t last
But oh what splendid adults they become
When they learn from their past
