Oct 2019
the day switched off its light
and sent the wind to sleep
then gave a nudge and woke the night
and said - your turn to keep

of work my half is done
now go and earn your nightly bread
your work is so much easier son
with everyone in bed

but night said - that is so untrue
for when you're not about
you don't know what these people do
when their lights are out
