Just for a moment
As I hold a bundle of washed clothes
I inhale the autumn air
Observe the blue skies
And feel the soft earth underfoot
The cares of adulthood evaporate
And I become an ageless creature
Wondering at the sun
Gasping at the breeze
Dazed by the dancing birds
Ignorant of anything but the moment
Unafraid of death
