I must be strong when she shakes
do it for her, (she's fragile, she breaks)

Swallow the tears and dismiss them from my voice
though the pill(s) may be bitter, it isn't her choice

Hold her because your arms are sometimes stronger than the heart
hold her as she mumbles and cries (you keep her from falling apart)

Love her for the good times, be there for the bad
don't let it fool you (you're not why she's sad)
