My heart bids me wait,
And spill not the words I have for love.
If I reveal too much I’ll lose you.
I’ll speak words I cannot take back,
Confidence in my eloquence I fear I lack.

I wish for the caress of your lips,
The warmth of your embrace,
To forever feel the tenderness of your touch,
I fear all these I shall never have.
For another’s love you do seek.

You have my heart,
My love unrequited,
I bid thee darling,
Look upon the one who stands before you,
Open your eyes anew, behold the lover who waits.

I observe from afar,
The wanderings of your thoughts,
And wonder to myself if I contribute to them?
I ponder on where your imagination runs,
Whether it seeks out my own, and shares my longings.

Let your thoughts seek me out in the night,
Feel my desires and liken them to your own,
Do not deny your dark longings,
Allow your skin to rise at the thought of my touch,
And know that I’ll be dreaming the same of you.

Comfort in another’s arms I could find,
But to what end;
When my heart is devoted to you.
Lay claim to my soul,
Claim my love as your own.

Forsake not the one, who loves you most,
Instead seek them out intently,
Shun not love from thyself,
Embrace it tenderly.
Welcome me into existence,

Lead me from the shadows,
Allow me the light.
Let me stand at your side,
And share with you the night.
Open your eyes anew, behold the lover who waits.
