We all have a song
In our heart and in our head
Some sung soft and low
So no one dares to hear

While others strong and loud
From rivers we have bled
Too sharp to keep within
Too cruel to keep it near

Many are never sung
Some we would die to feel the words
But these doors will never open
They will never feel that light

So much salvation's been denied
From the muted, absurd
Strains too pure to bear the day
And so will stay through the night

So if you can sing
Then sing your song
And if you can't
Then sing ours too

And know that
We all belong
Through our pain
You'll know you do
