Revolution

You wanted to build

Build up a wall

You wanted to start

Start a revolution

You wanted to fly

Fly above the rest

You wanted to follow

Follow nobody

Yet here you stand

Standing in line

For the revolution

You wanted to lead

Lead the lot

You wanted to speak

Speak to their hearts

You wanted to inspire

Inspire the common man

You wanted to lay

Lay down the law

Yet here you stand

Standing in line

For the revolution

You wanted to gain

Gain their trust

You wanted to inflict

Inflict whats deserved

You wanted to trust

Trust all of your friends

You wanted to look

Look down and smile

Yet here you stand

Standing in line

For the revolution

You never wanted to fall

Fall from grace

You never wanted to escape

Escape from your fate

You never wanted to cry

Cry for the lost

You never wanted to drink

Drink on your own

And here you run

Running away

From the revolution

You never wanted to fail

Fail them all

You never wanted to scream

Scream to the deaf

You never wanted to fade

Fade away

You never wanted to die

Die like the rest

So here you lie

Lying alone

With no revolution
