I’m with him
Despite his lack of morale
I’m with her
Despite corruption and false pretense
I’m with you
Despite our difference
We can work together
To be more open
And less divisive

Can’t fight the fact
That opinions aren’t universal
That humankind
Talks out of its ***
That everyone’s their own
Prison *****
I can’t be a loner
Apparently we all need
to socialize
What if we
Could work together
Resemble harmony
Without striving for perfection
With reason and rhyme
What a brighter paradigm
That would be

But it’s impossible
Because we still don’t
Understand
The difference between

Being right doing right
Everyone’s so obsessed
With being on top
When unbeknownst to them
They’re ******* themselves

I don’t have
All the answers
I’m no genius
I’m human
And ask

When did
Human  nature
Become an algorithm
That we can’t crack

We make rubble out of statues
And pain out of “ love”
I wish I wasn’t a cynic
Our nations
Starting to die so young

It’s not the left or the right
controlling us tonight
It’s us (without a doubt)
Why can’t we see

That we are the people
And we’re stronger as one
But we elect  the vote that sends us
Straight to hell

What if it were different
And we could compromise
I know that
That’ll  never happen
Emotions are to codified
And solidified by either side
Without justification

We just ebb and flow (x16)
