I tried my hardest to love you,
But you unknowingly pushed me away,
So I sit and pander about my past,
Baffled and frustrated, every day.
You slowly ripped my heart out,
As it transitions from red to black,
Its bright colors darken by the second,
Ardor and livliness, it lacks.
You unwrapped each and every layer,
My heart desperately yearns for,
You've sought out to be fierce and intimidating,
Disheartening, unloving, and nothing more.
