Lost on the dark side of the moon
Though it does not exist
When push comes to shove
You hurt me.
I love you but why do you
continue to cause me pain?
Drowning in myself
Filling with dread
Can’t see the light
Nothing is refracting
back to me, so all
Alone is how I’m seen
Even though you are right
There standing next to me.
Without you I’d die because
We are one, interconnected
Fate intertwined
But you make bad decisions
You always put me down
How can you hurt me
When you do not exist?
You are so real to me
Fighting back with every
breath you make, stealing
every breath I try to take,
against you I don’t stand
A chance and you and I both
know that, I crumple easily
my life is in the palm of your hand
you stand strong, drawing energy
from the negativity within me
and all that surrounds me.
The dark side of the moon
shines bright, it’s light is overwhelming
There’s an inside duel,
One has now become two.
