Oh God, when they have taken away everything
And to me remains but nothing
From You I shall hope to have something

A helping hand from a stranger
Shall suffice although I’m meager
Can somehow quench the thirst & hunger

By that be thankful I should
By that be grateful I could
By that be joyful I would

For it is a grace to receive
Something that I can never give
It can somehow make a heave

Oh God, I should make Thee see
That I’m contented and happy
For everywhere & everytime, there’s charity.
