Mar 2013
Sitting on the dock watching the sunset;
the wind blowing in my hair.
The water crashes against the rocks;
chills run through my body.
I sit at the top of the hill;
catcing my breath.
The snow;
soft and cold under me.
Laughter, tears, friends.
Food, games, too much food.
Crisp air;
birds chirping.
The sun is shining;
it's a new day.
Blessings
I may not have all the people I want in my life;
but I think I have all the people I need.
I have the ones who pick me up when I fall.
The ones who wipe my tears.
I have the people who make me laugh so hard that my stomach hurts;
and tears are streaming down my face.
I have the ones to look up to.
Give me advice.
They give me something to strive for.
I guess I don't really need anything else.
I have what I need.
I have enough.
I may not have it all;
but I am blessed.
It's really amazing what just one weekend can make you realize.
