Years
I count the years that remain
A strange game of solitaire, ignoble
Sometimes I wonder how to end this
For longing can be delicious and yet
This world spins faster and dances away
Perhaps there is another fire to burn me
I only come back to you, fated
Or defiantly unable to
Imagine any other way
But ours
