Glaring emptiness fills with shades, all screaming silent,
I don't know why their frantic, torn-down pride sings relief,
That all hopes and dreams, fulfilled or not, will be as dust,
Nothing remains, this too is our fate, we are dying slowly,
Yet the joy is in being forgotten, that this too shall pass,
We need not fear, for life lives truly, on the edge of oblivion.
