Untitled
She cried one day,
into the unforgiving night
She cried to the moon
every unforgettable night
She cried until the moon answered
Be strong, it whispered
it sung
it screamed
and so she sat
on a bed of tears
and threads of hope
as she listened
pleading unrelentingly
until the moon answered
and called to her
painting skies for her
her delicate eyes
worn with water
and streaked with loss
but tainted with a glimmer of light
