Untitled
If the world were a game of chess,
And I but a lowly pawn,
Such joy would become
Of the part of unknown
If each and every star
Formed a drawing each night
That no artist can ever conjure
As he draws up his canvas
If there be a world,
A magnificent one,
Where all the things come to align
All the hate I've come to love
If there be another you somewhere out there
Would you still like roses,
Or still love sweets,
And also me?
If there be truly another you, hopefully
In that other world, I would not make
The same mistake,
Of falling for my thoughts of you
For thou sweet a bird, to be locked in a cage
And I, your prisoner in an imprisoned mind
Will set you free
And kiss you one last time
I fell for the you, the one who has been
Instead of the you now, all so different
And cold, as I am, yet
If there be another world out there,
We both know, that what I truly wished for on a falling star,
Was for another chance
