I never knew the pain
that such happiness could cause me.
I was awaiting my doom
wasn't I?

Thinking of it as
every minute of happiness
I must now withstand an equal amount of hurt.

I don't want to live my life.
Make new memories.
Accomplish things.
without you.

But we never get what we want
now do we.
We seem to continuously throw our hands in the air in submission
Saying we learned our lesson for next time.

But what if I don't want a next time?
