Yesterday
A shred of bliss lies only an eternity away
A catastrophe of blight
Reminiscence withholds dismay
Onset eternal night
The past contains a pain
By which we suffer in the present
But cursed is it, time's dreaded reign
No kingdom evanescent
A militant resistance
Will not end the loner's grief
No matter how persistent
His life is very brief
