Ballad of Samantha

I could always see it in your eyes

Something I never saw before

Still it comes as a surprise

We’re not lonely anymore

I still remember when we first talked

A few hours it seemed would never end

It’s a path I thought I’d never walk

Yet a path I knew I’d walk again

For several years I hated time

Four years is just too much

Now I smile when you’re on my mind

And feel the tingle when we touch

And it comes as a surprise

Something finally went right

You are the sunrise in my skies

You are my comfort in the night
