A POEM IS A PRAYER .
Good poetry, you are the voice
that moves the heart of that who writes.
His thoughts pass through his heart and float
on sheets of paper pure and white .

Bad thoughts are schemed inside the mind ,
which calculates the gain and loss.
They can't come near the heart as love
has made this site its lasting throne.

A poem that the heart indites
can't side with hands immersed in blood.
The heart is always soft and kind
and sides with feathers of its sort.

How great verse is when of pure source !
It flows to quench the burning thirst ,
and cleans the soiled mind of its dirt ,
a prayer inspired by the Lord.
