The shadows on the wall,
They make you succumb to the call
Of their originating source,
And ebb takes you to the flow:
You relive bright memories
With the taste of burnt coffee
And shades of evening, sprawling on all -
You relive the bright memories
To mitigate the eternal maul.
Absorbed in the twinkle of a tear drop,
A rueful smile dances on the confines of lips,
The passing youth carries a sorrowful hint:
Shadows linger just down the hearty hall.
And shared caffeine actually tasted better...
