dreamt
don’t tell me
to hold
my heart
in my hand
if you won’t
hold your heart
in yours
when you have
wounded me
with whispers
that meant
nothing to
you
I have stood
before you
fearlessly
my love alive
breathing the
very air we
share
still standing
when you
have fallen
short of
of being
everything
I dreamt you
to be
