As I walk through life,
I look at all I've done.
I had wandered aimlessly,
And wondered what I have become.

Covered and wrapped with grief,
I forget in patience and fear.
Hours, days, months, years,
I forget everything with relief.

As thunder cracks and rain pours,
I anything that came to mind.
And that makes me fearless-
The day lightning struck the moors.

And up to today,
I still forget lots of things.
But I remember something-
The day I heard you say:

"Forgotten doesn't mean they don't remember you."
And then I realize I was such a fool.
