The Anatomy of An Apology

I wish to find you again in the rain

so i can tell you that my body is an apology,

that my lungs are filled with our memories

and i cannot breathe.

You left me in open waters and i do not know

if i will ever see you again but for now i will

kiss the wind and hope that it travels to

your skin and brushes your heart.
