Mar 2013
mouth of cigarettes and beer
bark
icicles from the upstairs
balcony
i apologized to the
purple angel
for my silence
waves in her brown hair
drove 30 miles
to a party
where I drank beer
and took a walk
alone
talked with a couple of
homeless men
happy
drinking whiskey from a brown paper bag
i took a swig
and smiled with them
for the time being.
