Misery Does Not Like To Be Alone
You've struck a chord with me
One that is so loud I can't ignore
And I'm not sure
If it is cold hard reality
Or just what I choose to see
Perhaps the truth escapes me
A misperception that soon I'll perceive differently
It is hard to tell
I've never felt quite so alone
Empty inside myself
The one who I want
Too far from my grasp
Everyone else, lacking
This world is huge
Massive, just looking up at the clouds is astounding
I realize there are a million other human beings out there
A million other faces that don't make me feel amazed
Misery does not like to be alone
If I could hit a wall in my life
I've struck it hard
