Like the suns bright rays of light
Your smile shines
It brings life to the hearts
Of the many desolate people that roam our small town

It's like the beacon of a lighthouse
Or the flash of a shooting star
Like something magical we don't understand
It gives me purpose

To wake to your beaming face
And slowly melt at your lips embrace
To do great things only for the reason
To see that smile again

If I knew how, I'd write all the right words
Sing all the right songs
Say all the right things
Just to show you how special you are

To take a heart so black
To the cradle of Nirvana
And have a man so cruel
Repent for what he's done

You're beaming, bright
Lovely smile is the cure
For the darkness in men
And corruption of society

But you are so modest
So cute, so kind
You can't even see
That you're the light that guides
All the ships safely home
For the captains to rest
Or the spark that sets off
The sky flowers nest

What you have is a gift
That smile of yours
So don't keep it hidden
Behind closed doors
