A veil over the body
That was put overnight
To obfuscate my sight,
Drown my soul.

A fatigued mind, a mauled
Trust, a longing hope for
What the world once was.

Was once, but now no more:
Stagnation and shunned love
Remain, and that abomination
Above, the imperturbable sun.
