The lead was taken by domestic violence
Because you zipped up and put on that silence
And with that they got the license
To beat you, slam you, throw you and slap you
Till you bleed and cry
Neighbors will pry
But none will stand for your aid
And everything will seem to fade.

Ask yourself why did this take place,
All because you didn't file a case?
You didn't report and you didn't get any support.
You'll be a victim of his rage,
Until you come out of that cage.

For all those shattered cups and plates,
Stand against him and tell him you're gonna turn fates.
For all those bruises and scars,
Stand against him and put him behind the bars.
For all the times he has beaten you up with his belt,
Stand against him and make him feel the way you felt.

So, stand up and speak up,
Nothing is hidden with that make up.
In the end, the choice is all yours,
Either stand against the violence or suffer in silence.
