May 2010
The summer sun is bright, yet I
Have no warmth from its omnipotent blaze.
In the edgy chill, I fear I will die
Without your arms to save me from this phase.
You do nothing to catch me whilst I fall
But it was you that pushed me from this cliff.
The desolate ground screams its horrid call,
Yet I do not hear past the wind's loud hiss.
If I could have you, I would give my life.
I would slumber forever for one kiss.
Alas, my longings only lead to strife
For it seems that I will never gave bliss.
My soul now burns with the fiercest fire
In hope you will give me my desire.
