Invisible chain
Trapped by the hand that feeds me
Weighing me down, slowly pushing the life out of me
Everyday a new chance to leave it all
But I chose to endure and thrive
To break and earn my release from the chains that hold us down
Sink or swim we pick one everyday
I'm not Michael Phelps, but I sure do earn my gold everyday
I take a 9-iron to my problems everyday knock em out the park
Never a straight shot or a hole in one
Always a challenge not so much fun
We have our moment with the hand that feeds us
Let's hope it's not more than we can chew
