What I see.
Take the depth of the sea
and the bark of the wise oak tree
Mix them in a mold
And they make your eyes
Looking at me.
Take the midnight sky,
With the stars and how they shine
Spin them on a wheel
And it is your hair,
sleek and fine
Take the volcanos heat
and a bakery sweet
stir it up together
and its your heart beat
Take a satin muave
and the greatest salve
shake it up
and you get your voice
so suave
This is what I see when I look at you
All I'd need to carry me through
My life well spent by your side
Neither of us, ever having to hide
And I can hear your heart beating
Though I am so far from home
You carried my heart with you
and it shall never roam.
For my one true love. Joshua.
