May 2019
He seemed like a nice enough fellow.
Tall, polite, and very mellow.
Mother said not to trust strangers
But really, how could he be dangerous?
I failed to see
The hunger in his eyes,
his desperate need.
He knew so much, and was so agreeable.
His desires were unbelievable.
I lost myself that day
And now I carry something that will never go away.
