And my
heart
and thoughts
fall all
around
you
like
rain falling
from heaven
upon a
flower,

and in
the moments
that you
are away
from
me I am
not myself,

or someone else.

I am
just
lost and
misplaced
in the
moment,

that does not
include
you and
your angel
smile,

and because
of this,

my first
prayer
every
morning
is that
I could
again
awake
and find
you
by my
side,

where
my heart
knows
best,

and my
soul touches
your
soul and
everything
around
you,

for  without
that moment

my life
would
be just
pieces
of hope
and love
torn
apart and
scattered
without
meaning
upon the
floor.

and my
life would
be such
an incomplete
offering
to God
and love,

in that
moment
when
I am
without
you,

and the
universe

simply
ceases

breathe,

in the
quiet of
this
morning

as I lie
in silence
in your
beauty

your husband

by your
side.
