Is there a law against being alone
To not have a soul in sight
As all this time I spend by myself
I’ve been told isn’t right

Is it so wrong to just shut my door
And not open it for days
To ignore the ringing of my phone
As I’ve nothing to say

Is there a rule somewhere in the books
Of which I’m not aware
That says I have to socialize
If so, then it’s not fair

So I will  continue in this state
Of solitude I love so
Until I see it written down in law
Ordinance or code
